Welcome to the Irish American Social Club of Northern Westchester & Putnam Counties, NY Website!

The IAC was founded in 1972 and incorporated in 1975.

The principal aims of the Club are:

A.To foster Irish Culture in Northern Westchester and Putnam Counties and

B.To bring to the people of Irish descent in the area a spirit of kinship and cooperation.

The activities of the Club, which concentrate on family participation, are many and varied, some of which are:

•The Annual Ball: A Formal occasion each year, usually in the spring after the other St. Patrick’s Day festivities.

•Fellowship: A program established to help fellow members and their families in times of need.

•Family Picnic: Held at the Martha Ginsberg Pavilion in Mohegan Lake. Field games, races, music, dancing, food and lots of fun for the whole family!

•Parades: The Club has it’s own marching Band (See below). Members and families of the Club march proudly behind the American Flag, Irish Flag and Club banner to honor our heritage.

•Scholarship Award: Awarded annually to an area graduating high school children, who has a relative that is a member of the Club. 2nd year students of the Yorktown Irish Band may apply or whose parents have been Club members for the past 3 consecutive years.

•Gaelic Mass: Traditional Irish mass with readings in Gaelic held each year in St. Patrick’s Church in Yorktown; new officers are installed.

•Charity Sponsor: The Club supports the Holiday Angel Program, a local program that supplies food, clothing, gifts to local families in crisis.

•Pipe and Drum Band: The Band travels and performs at various parades. Classes are on Monday nights from 7-8pm in the Yorktown Cultural Center. For more information, click here or call Andria Cassidy 914-962-7591.
